In our coastal retreats of Kingscliff and Pottsville, we’ve chosen some excellent shops we think you’ll love. Even better, you can now visit ‘in real life’ (or IRL if you’re using social media).

First on our list is GAAB Designs in Pottsville for unique hand-printed women’s clothing, all Australian-designed. Featuring lightweight, gorgeous printed fabrics, these clothes will take you from the beach to a day of shopping and onto a nice dinner at a local restaurant. If you’re the type of person who loves unique clothing pieces, this is the boutique for you.

For some new swimwear, check out Breathe Swimwear right in the heart of Kingscliff. This store has been serving locals and visitors for almost 15 years, with a huge selection of swimwear styles ranging in size from 6 to 24. They have a large range of kids’ swimwear, too. While you’re there, check out their range of T-shirts and other clothing.

Looking for a gift less ordinary? Then you can’t go past Oxley and Moss in Kingscliff, who stock a huge range of gifts for all the family. Here you’ll find unique coastal homewares from Australian brands and foodie gift hampers, as well as a selection of women’s fashion plus some fabulous jewellery. With gifts for all ages, including babies, Oxley and Moss will help you find the perfect present.

Just south of Kingscliff at Salt Beach, you’ll find Salt Village, home to boutiques, a great French patisserie and some major brands like Seafolly and Witchery.

If you’re planning on doing a spot of fishing and need some supplies, head to Pottsville Bait & Tackle, a family-owned business that’s been in operation since 1997. Not only can you get all your supplies here, but also, you’ll get some insider advice on the best fishing spots in the area.

For some excellent market shopping, the Kingscliff Community Market has you covered. The market is right on the beach next to the Kingscliff Beach Bowls Club and you can attend every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from 8 am to 1 pm.

Head to the Kingscliff Market for all your fresh fruit and vegetables for the week as well as other gourmet foods, local arts and crafts, unique fashion and gifts for everyone on your list. You’ll find the market in Jack Bayliss Park, just back from the beach.

If you’re after something different to do on a Friday night, check out the Kingscliff Night Market. In ‘normal’ times, it’s on the first Friday of every month from 5 pm to 9 pm and is held in Rowan Robinson Park right next to the Cudgen Surf Life Saving Club.

Not only will you find plenty of stalls to do some serious gift shopping, but also, this market has an abundance of food vendors plus live music. It’s a great way to spend a Friday night out with the family or a group of friends.

Salt Village also has regular markets where you can sample and buy local produce or find hand-made treasures. However, the main attraction is the live entertainment.
